Related to the Demand for Cooperation with a Shortening of Business Opening Hours

Implementation Outline

 

1. Outline

Compliance Fund (3^rd) payments will be made to those business operators who have complied fully with the Prefectural Government's demands for a shortening of opening hours for the entirety of the demanded period, in order to help suppress the further spread of COVID-19 infection which continues to expand daily.

 

2. Application Process

Applications for payment of this Compliance Fund (3^rd) can be made by those who have cooperated with the demands outlined for either section (A) or section (B) below and met the relevant conditions.

 

(A)  For those who have complied with the demands since January 12^th 2021 (Tuesday)

Targeted Period:   January 12^th 2021 (Tuesday) - February 7^th 2021 (Sunday)

Targeted Business Types:             Eating & drinking businesses serving alcohol (including karaoke boxes &

live houses that serve alcohol)

※   Those business branches which serve alcohol, from amongst the business branches which have

received operating permission in accordance with the Food Sanitation Law

※    Takeaway and delivery businesses, supermarkets or convenience stores with eat-in spaces and

kitchen cars are not targeted.

Demand Contents:          Shortening of opening hours to from 5:00AM until 8:00PM and alcohol serving

hours to from 11:00AM until 7:00PM

 

(B)  For those who have complied with the demands since January 16^th 2021 (Saturday)

Targeted Period:　January 16^th 2021 (Saturday) - February 7^th 2021 (Sunday)

Targeted Business Types:

・Eating & drinking businesses

※   Eating & drinking businesses (including izakayas), cafes etc. (excluding takeaway and delivery

services)

・Entertainment Facilities

※   Bars & karaoke facilities etc. which have received operating permission in accordance with the Food

Sanitation Law (excluding internet & manga cafes)

Demand Contents:          Shortening of opening hours to from 5:00AM until 8:00PM and alcohol serving

hours to from 11:00AM until 7:00PM

 

Conditions common to both section (A) and section (B):

• The business branch must be located within Gifu Prefecture.
• The business operator must have complied fully with the contents of the demands for the entire period.
• The applicant must be a person with the authority to decide the opening hours and the contents of the business operations of the relevant business branch.
• Eating & drinking businesses involving hospitality service, karaoke facilities & live houses must have created and submitted an Infection Prevention Measures Manual and have had it checked and confirmed.
• The applicant must not have submitted a false or improper application for the earlier "Gifu Prefecture Compliance Fund (2^nd) to Prevent the Further Spread of COVID-19".
• The company must have no employee, representative or director of the business who is involved in criminal gangs or other such anti-social activities and the running of the business must not be under the influence of any criminal gang.
• The applicant is not an individual or corporation which operates a business which the Governor has recognized as having been a place where COVID-19 infection has spread during the formation of an infection cluster in the period from January 11^th 2021 (Monday; national holiday) until the day on which the decision of whether to grant the fund is made.

 

3. Amount Paid

Those applying under section (A): 1,540,000 yen

Those applying under section (B): 1,380,000 yen

 

4. Application Submission Period

　From January 27^th 2021 (Wednesday) until February 22^nd 2021 (Monday)

　・Applications postmarked February 22^nd will be accepted.

　・Please be careful as we will not be able to accept late applications.
