Demands of Business Operators
(1) Strict Adherence to Guidelines for Eating & Drinking Businesses from the Guidelines for Each Type of Business
・ In particular, "eating & drinking businesses involving hospitality service" which have not
submitted an Infection Prevention Measures Manual are asked to temporarily close.
・ Business branches where clusters have occurred are asked to temporarily close and
the manual will be inspected (and required to be resubmitted).
・ Furthermore, sampling investigations (virus tests on staff) will be carried out centered
around areas where clusters are occurring such as foreigner pubs.
(2) Demand for the Shortening of Operating Hours Aimed at Eating & Drinking Businesses
【February 8th (Monday) - March 7th (Sunday)】 ・ Targeted: Eating & drinking businesses (regardless of whether they serve alcohol) ・ Demands: For the period, shortening of operating hours to until 20:00 and shortening of alcohol serving hours to from 11:00 until 19:00 ・ Compliance Fund: Payment of 1,680,000 yen per business branch to those fulfilling the conditions for the whole 28 day period ※ The business branch must have acquired a "Sticker for Business Branches Implementing COVID-19 Measures". ※ There may be changes such as a shortening of the demand period and/or a change in the amount of Compliance Fund paid if there are changes to the Government's Basic Measures Guidelines during the period of the demand written above. |

(3) Restrictions on the Hosting of Events Etc.
・ Indoor & outdoor events restricted to 5,000 people or less
・ Additionally, events held indoor must be at 50% or less of venue capacity
・ Shortening of event hours to until 20:00
(4) Encouragement of Shortening of Operating Hours for other Businesses
・Targeted: Facilities other than eating & drinking businesses as specified in Article 11 of the Special Measures Law Enforcement Order (excluding schools, nurseries, business branches selling essential daily life goods and business branches offering services essential to daily life etc.)
・Contents: Shortening of operating hours to until 20:00 and shortening of serving of
alcohol to from 11:00 until 19:00
