Gifu Prefecture Headquarters for Novel Coronavirus Disease Control

Implementation period: Oct 1-14 , 2021

 The emergency measures designated by the prefecture will be lifted at the end of September, but the number of newly infected people is still high. With a number of new infections confirmed every day, mainly among young people, and also noticeably among foreign residents of the prefecture, the fifth wave is not yet over.

It is also important to prepare for the sixth wave as the fall holiday season is coming.

 Even after the cancellation of the emergency measures, please continue to thoroughly implement basic infection prevention measures.

 

 1 Infection Prevention Measures

(1)Basic Infection Prevention Measures

What You Can Do

・ Even vaccinated people (to prevent breakthrough infections) should be careful of the following.

  • Wear a mask (tightly fitting nonwoven cloth mask)
  • Hand hygiene (frequent hand washing, disinfection)
  • Avoid crowds (enclosed spaces, crowded places, and close contact)
  • Ventilate frequently
  • Health management (stop going to work and school when you are unwell)

・ Do the following when going out.

  • Move in small groups, and avoid crowded locations and times
  • Refrain from going out, at night in accordance with shorter hours at restaurants, etc.
  • Basic infection prevention when traveling between prefectures, such as visits home and business trips, and recommend testing for those who have not completed vaccination
  • Refrain from moving to and from infected areas

・ Flexible work policies such as telework

・ Refrain from behavior with a high risk of infection, such as drinking alcohol in groups on the street, in parks, etc.

 

 

(2) Continuation of reduced operating hours, etc.

・ Request restaurants, etc. to shorten business hours.

Target Businesses

Bars and Restaurants: Restaurants (including izakaya), cafes, etc.

*Excluding delivery and take-out services. Wedding halls are treated as restaurants.

Amusement facilities: Bars and other stores that are licensed to operate under the Food Sanitation Act

* Excluding facilities such as internet cafes and manga cafes that are expected to be used to a considerable extent for long-term stays at night.

Gifu City, Hashima City, Kakamigahara City, Mizuho City, Ogaki City, Mino Kamo City,

Kani City, Mitake Town

Target Dates

From Friday, October 1 to Thursday, October 14

Requests

〇 Stickers for stores implementing COVID measures (third-party certified stores*)

  * Conditional upon compliance with the following four items: (1) installation of acrylic sheets, etc., or securing seat spacing,

(2) Thorough hand disinfection, (3) recommend customers wear masks when not eating, (4) thorough ventilation)

・ Request a reduction in business hours to between 5:00 to 21:00 (alcoholic beverages served from 11:00 to 20:00)

・ As a rule, limit groups at the same table to no more than 4 people

〇 Other stores

・ Request a reduction in business hours to between 5:00 to 21:00 (alcoholic beverages served from 11:00 to 20:00)

Support Payments

Payments will only be made if stores comply for the entire period.

Small Businesses: ¥25,000 to ¥75,000 (per store per day)

Large Businesses: Decrease in daily sales ×0.4 (per store per day)

* Up to ¥200,000 (or daily sales x 0.3, whichever is lower).

 

・ Refrain from using karaoke facilities at restaurants and wedding venues.

(Target areas and period are the same as the request to restaurants, etc. to reduce hours)

・ For stores other than the above, when providing karaoke facilities, make sure to avoid crowding

and ensure adequate ventilation.
