(1) Funding is available for small and medium-sized corporations based in Gifu Prefecture or sole proprietors who are self-employed and run a business in Gifu Prefecture, etc. Notably, the main office must be located in the prefecture and the business itself must fall under one of the following categories.
Eligible businesses in the manufacturing sector: ceramics, textiles and clothing, paper, metal and cutlery, carpentry, plastic, food products*, traditional handicrafts, local handicrafts
*Regarding food products, in accordance with the Food Sanitation Act of 1st April 2022, the business must have obtained a manufacturing and processing industry operations licence or submitted a notification of operations.
(2) Between April and September of this year, compared to the same months last year, fuel prices and the cost of living, including electricity and gas prices, have seen a sharp rise which affects businesses and business owners alike.
The impacts of the rise of fuel prices and the cost of living, including electricity and gas prices, include one or more of the following:
・ Increase in business-related fuel expenses (fuel oil, etc.) (Specific example) As the price of fuel oil sharply increases, so does the cost of using a boiler and other equipment.
・Increase in business-related gas and electricity bills. (Specific example) As electric companies raise prices, the cost of electricity bills also rise.
・Other factors deemed by the Prefectural Governor to be an effect of the rise of the cost of living. (Specific example) Increasing fuel costs were reflected in purchase prices, which saw a sharp increase. |
